The Right Snowshoe

   Lets go snowshoeing, remember there are many types of shoes to choose from. Buying the correct snowshoe is dependent on many factors including terrain, size and weight of purchaser and budget. If you are any where north of 200 lbs and plan on strapping on a large backpack you must get shoes that are rated 275 lbs and above to have the flotation needed to hit the backcountry. I really like these Tubbs Mens Mountaineer shoes..

As you can see from the video Tubbs snowshoes have some great feature like heel support for steep inclines and torsion side flex frames. I really like the crampons they use it's like wearing two styles at one time. The 6000 aluminum frame keeps these beauties at around 1lbs..
   Snowshoeing just may allow you to get into that remote area that holds an epic landscape image that may define your image galleries.
